Threadless
I just bought the T-Shirt shown above from Threadless.com a site that has folks contribute T-Shirt designs, vote on them, and then they produce runs of them and resell them. They have some great designs that are very funny or serious and which probably couldn't get through the gauntlet of a normal clothing manufacturer's marketing team.

Thorny
We were walking around Long Hill in Beverly ...(http://www.thetrustees.org/pages/314_long_hill.cfm) a very pretty estate even in the winter with lots of exotic trees wih strange bark and plants gone dormant. This one still had one fruit on it and the most amazing green and silver skin with pointy thorns.

Some favorite things
Tom Olives
I discovered these little beauties at Legal Seafoods in a martini special and then my lovely wife hunted them down on the web at Old South and obtained them for a Christmas present.
They are pickled green grape tomatoes and they are very very good. Here is my recipe for my preferred martini with them: 2 1/2 measures of Bombay Sapphire Gin, 1/2 measure Lilllett, shake with ice till really cold, skewer 3 tom olives and submerge. Drink...Savor...
Richard Grant Wrotham Pinot 2001 Reserve Napa Valley Sparkling Wine
I discovered this small producer on a trip to San Francisco and the Napa Valley Winery Exchange, later I found I could order this wine direct from them. Beautiful sparkling wine with small bubbles, pink gold color, dry, medium body, mmmmmm
Oh and I played around with using a small LED light to outline things in these pictures on a 15 second exposure...
In more than one place
I was thinking that if I carried the light around with me I could appear in the photo multiple times, this is my first experiment with doing that. I like the ghostly look, and the motion blur when I move around.

Switching to another blog
I'm done fooling around with perl and the old greymatter blog software now, so I'm switching back to blogger. The original blog is still here but this will be the new one going forward.
