8 Things
Ok, my brother tagged me so here goes... 8 things...
1) I'm studying Jazz piano, I suck, but I really enjoy learning about it
2) If I was going to write something it'd be poetry, it's short, packs in the ideas
3) I love vacation travel, I hate business travel, quirky huh...
4) I like bourbon and scotch (both speyside and islay), so I'm a whiskey heretic...
5) I enjoy cooking for other people, it's easy to do, and they generally appreciate it immediately, instant gratification for all...
6) I like good bluegrass music and am a big Dolly Parton fan...
7) I think the new Battlestar Galactica television show is the best thing on television
8) Vancouver, BC is the only place on the West Coast I'd consider living...
Will I be cursed if I don't tag someone else ? 9) Don't believe in curses

Buddha Machine
I heard a segment on NPR about this little device called the Buddha Machine: http://www.forcedexposure.com/artists/fm3.html . It is the product of a group called FM3 out of China which plays 9 loops of ambient music based around chants. It is sort of the anti-iPod in that it doesn't allow anything to be downloaded to it, and it just has a volume control and a switch to choose between loops. I thought of my brother R immediately... the band's site is: http://www.fm3.com.cn .

Bahamas
L and I had a nice trip to the Bahamas, we stayed at the Westin Grand Bahama Island, it was very nice and quiet there. We just hung out and read books on the beach and such. There are more photos if you click through the image below.
