Template Update

I adjusted the site template to allow a wider left column, this should avoid clipping large size pictures from Flickr.

If you don't see this immediately, pressing the Ctrl key while doing a refresh of the page should cause it to update.

Ctrl-F5 in most browsers will also force a refresh of everything.

tartane is a restaurant/bar in Mitte right on Torstrasse, nice place to hang and have a beer and a burger. The burgers are very good, probably the best I've had in Berlin, though my only comparison really is White Trash...

L'Annam Vietnamese Cuisine -- New York

L'Annam is a Vietnamese restaurant near Union Square in NYC, it has a great selection of all of the classics. I had some noodles with roast pork, and it was very good. The service is a bit perfunctory, but they were accurate and prompt so not too bad. Room is nothing to write home about, but I'd go there for lunch again.

Pierre Loti Wine Bar & Restaurant -- New York

Pierre Loti Wine Bar & Restaurant (we went to the one in Chelsea) is a Turkish wine-bar in New York, really nice food, though they have "Americanized" the names of Turkish standards so we had to infer what things were from their descriptions. The wine selection was very good, service was nice, it is a small dish place so you build up the size meal you want. Not loud and a comfortable pleasant space.

noto (which stands for North of Torstrasse) is a cool little place on Torstrasse that has a creative modern German menu sorta like modern American only German... nice wine list... decent martini... bar, small tables, and a kitchen table in the back opposite the open kitchen... reminded me of little restaurants in Greenwich Villiage...

Space Cat 3D (now with new levels) is very compelling and fun to play, also great to make meetings pass without injury to others ;-)

Ten Tables -- Cape Cod -- Massachusetts

Ten Tables in Provincetown is very casual, perhaps a little "hip," but the bar upstairs is a good refuge from the heat and the appetizers at the bar and the food downstairs was excellent. A little loud inside due to being a converted house, otherwise a really nice place.

The Belfry Inn & Bistro (we visited the Bistro) is a beautiful restaurant with excellent food in a lovely room inside a former church. The windows and high ceilings were beautiful. The service was very good, friendly and professional.

Lyric is a small restaurant in Yarmouth Port, Massachusetts, the menu was a lovely collection of local fare, the drinks were good, and the wines by the glass were well chosen.
